Saving Lives Through Fostering, Compassion, and Community.

In January of 2016, our founder, Keir, visited a local rescue to pick up a few bunnies to foster. While touring the rescue, she met a tiny rooster who quietly changed everything. After asking if she could hold him, she was told, “If he’ll let you.” He did — and moments later, he laid his head on her shoulder and fell asleep.

Chicken Nugget went home that day as a foster… and quickly became a foster fail.

From one rooster to many animals, Chicken Nugget and Gang grew into a foster-based rescue helping dogs, cats, and small animals who are often overlooked, surrendered, or simply out of options. Some come to us to heal and find forever homes. Others, who have been through too much, remain part of our small sanctuary.

Our work is deeply rooted in community. Inspired by another beloved foster fail, Rock, we saw how animals can bring comfort, joy, and connection to people of all ages. That inspiration drives our mission to not only rescue animals, but to educate, support, and work alongside other rescues whenever possible.

Chicken Nugget and Gang exists to give animals a second chance — and to remind people that compassion, patience, and love can change lives.
